Columbia Wetlands Outpost COVID-19 UpdateIn the context of the current COVID-19 pandemic, we ask our guests, and paddling community, to respect the Government of Canada's direction to carefully follow physical distancing practices and to respect the directives and regulations of all public health authorities and governments at all levels. We are happy to be open and offering an outdoor activity during this time, but ask that everyone does their part to keep both themselves and others safe while doing so. If you have a confirmed case of COVID-19, or have come in close contact with someone who has a confirmed case, please self isolate and do not go into any public spaces until a doctor confirms you are safe to do so.

Please arrive on time for your reservation, as we are staggering our departures for each rental to ensure social distancing. Please observe physical distancing and personal hygiene signage that is posted on site. Please ensure you park a minimum of 2 meters away from other vehicles. You will be met by a staff member, and credit card payments will can be made on the sanitised POS machine made available. Flow of traffic on the dock will be one way, according to signage. Please respect that the dock is narrow, and allow suffient space to maintain physical distancing. Turn to face the outside of the dock, away from other guests, if passing is required. The suspension bridge is temporarily closed as it cannot be navigated safely without hand contact, and cannot be properly sanitised. Please use alternate route. The boat house, and all furniture on the dock are currently off limits. Please respect these closures.
Returning to the dock
We ask you to dock your rental craft as instructed by our staff at the end of your trip, and wash the boat with the soap and water provided. Staff will follow up with disinfectant prior to any subsequent rentals. Please hang your PDF's on the 'used' rack for disinfecting. Please place your paddles in the 'used' barrel as instructed, for disinfecting. Follow the one way flow of foot traffic back to your vehicle.
Paddles will be disinfected after each use. All boats will be launched separate, and at a minimum of 2 meters distant. Guests will be highly encouraged to enter and exit the boats without staff assistance / contact, if safe to Please respect regulations on group sizes, and maintain physical distancing at all times - even when on the water.

Columbia Wetlands Outpost is an ideal base for wintertime fun and activity on our cross country skiing and snowshoeing trails, or on the fantastic tobogganing hill. Further afield snowmobiling, skiing and boarding options await.
